Kfar HaNokdim – Beduin Village
I got there by…:
Public transportation can’t take you to Kfar HaNokdim, but it’s about 40 NIS for a cab from Arad.
Kfar HaNokdim is a fake Bedouin village in the middle of the desert between Arad and Masada. You can choose to sleep on a mattress in a Bedouin style tent or in a basic cabin. Kfar HaNokdim also serves excellent traditional Bedouin food, and offers camel and donkey rides for an additional fee. This is a nice place to stay if you\’re interested in Bedouin culture, and is a great base-camp for day trips to Masada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea.

I have done this before. They are very friendly and nice people. It is a cool village, and because it has a decent amount of tourists come through, you don’t really feel out of place ever. They give you some great tea too. They have a nice gift shop, and a good dining hall. The bathrooms are absolutely nothing to complain (or brag) about. They have running water, toilets, etc, and cleanliness is not an issue.
Overall, this is definitely a fun trip, and worth spending a day or two on, especially if you are doing Masada the next day.
